super laykold tape is a bitumen aluminium self-adhesive waterproofing tape (peel and stick).

Uses
Seals and repairs leaky, galvanised roof sheeting, gaps and overlaps, valley gutters, downpipes, roof screws, pipe vents, ridging and capping, metal boxes, window frames and parapet wall joints.

Use size as required to cover area necessary.
Application
Choose the correct width of super laykold tape for the area to be sealed, ensuring a 40 mm overlap is achieved. Cut the correct length ensuring a 50 mm overlap is achieved. All gaps need to be filled prior with bitu.®seal plastic or cement before applying the super laykold tape. Peel back 150 mm of the backing paper from the one end and then press the tape onto the surface. Continue pressing well into angles and grooves along the tape, while removing the adequate amount of backing paper. Remove air bubbles by smoothing from center towards edges and firmly press edges down.
Cleaning
Tools, brushes and mixing equipment should be cleaned immediately after use and before material has set with abe® super brush cleaner followed by washing with soap and water.
Protection / Maintenance on completion
super laykold tape is to be left with the aluminium protective layer as is after application.

Handling & Storage
Shelf life of 12 months, but shorter if in extreme conditions. Keep tightly sealed in a dry cool place in the original packaging.
Caution
super laykold tape must not be applied in freezing, wet or foggy conditions. Product (black side) can be heated in the sun for better adhesion.
